Who is NIKKI STANZIONE?
Nikki Stanzione is a TV Host/Personality/Broadcaster, Actress, Performer, Spokesperson and Voiceover Artist. Her versatile and extensive experience in various areas of television and the performing and creative arts industries, both behind and in front of the camera and stage, has allowed her opportunities to work from coast to coast with well-respected industry professionals across the board. She is Jersey Girl at heart, but having lived all over the country, she has been given the privilege to embrace and learn from various cultures and communities and call many places home.Recent Work
For over a decade, Nikki has been regularly seen three to five days a week as an On-Air Show Host for national broadcast television home shopping networks. Beginning her home shopping journey as a Guest Expert for various products on QVC, she then gained popularity at Jewelry Television, Shop LC, and Shop HQ where she specialized in live sales presentations of jewelry, gemstones, and lifestyle products (beauty, fashion, home, food, kitchen, health, fitness, technology, etc…). Prior to officially joining the TV home shopping genre in a full time capacity, Nikki made her Off Broadway Debut in "My Big Gay Italian Wedding" and "My Big Gay Italian Funeral" in a supporting lead role, following three years as Host of “New Mexico Style,” on the Southwest FOX affiliate, 2 KASA FOX. Nikki launched the daily live one hour lifestyle morning show in 2010, which focused on all her passions from Entertainment and Pop Culture, to Breaking News and Hot Topics, Fashion, Food, Fitness, Family, Community, Health, Beauty and so much more. After less than one year on the air, Nikki received the honor of BEST TELEVISION PERSONALITY in the “Best Of” Edition of the popular Albuquerque the Magazine, and given Best Talk Show Host and Best Morning Show accolades in the two years to follow.
Career
As an On-Air Broadcaster for AccuWeather, Nikki provided Entertainment News and Weather reports on both television and the internet daily. Appearing on Local AccuWeather Channels (ABC Eyewitness News), FOX News Channel, Bloomberg, and NJN, among others, duties included broadcasting breaking weather news, regional forecasts, global weather, detailed local forecasts for over 50 cities a day in the US, live hits on severe weather, along with writing and reporting her own weekly entertainment news and monthly tip segments. In addition, Nikki periodically appeared as a guest expert on QVC, specializing in technology and electronics presentations. She is often recognized from her time as Host of the national daily live interactive game show, “My Games Fever,” for Twentieth Television, seen nationally on MyNetwork TV, on the FOX O&O's, based in Miami. During her time in South Florida, she was also a spokesperson for TIGER TV and the all new COMP USA, and was a regular cast member in the musical comedy "Laffing Matterz," in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Nikki also starred in several independent films and commercials and was an MC/Host, Singer, and DJ for numerous live events from coast to coast. While in Los Angeles, she was also a Writer, Co-Host and Co-Producer for a pilot about our culture's infatuation with celebrity, called "Starstruck." In addition to hosting “The Scrapbook Lounge” pilot for HGTV, this avid fan of pop culture and entertainment was also an Entertainment Reporter on the red carpet for various TV productions and awards shows. Nikki also appeared on TV Guide Channel’s “Open Call’s Dynamic Duo,” and was among the top 3 finalists for EXTRA’s Entertainment News Correspondent Search. In addition to her on-camera experience, she also worked on the production teams of game shows “Weakest Link” and “Lingo” for the highly respected and world renowned, The Gurin Company.
How It All Began
As a child, Nikki found her passion for the performing arts early on at the Performers Theater Workshop (where in a full circle moment, she ended up teaching acting in later years), and it all began with Musical Theater growing up in the NY tristate area. During her teenage years, she went on to anchor local cable news shows, in addition to reporting and producing segments for a cable magazine show during her college years. She was known locally as the girl who ended her news broadcasts with her self-created tag phrase: “Keep watching us…’cause we’re watching you!” When people would see her in public and say it back to her, she knew she wanted to be a regular TV personality, realizing the power of television and its influence on viewers. Following her college graduation, Nikki was regularly featured on the soap opera “All My Children” in NYC and went on to recur as “Cynthia” on “Young and the Restless” upon her arrival in Los Angeles.
Education and Training
Nikki graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Journalism. Her education continued with specialized broadcast training at Talent Dynamics in Dallas, Texas with Sandra Connell and Lou Michaels, and included studying acting in Los Angeles with the highly respected Acting Coach Leigh Kilton Smith, as well as with The Actor’s Studio Alum Paul E. Richards, who was Lee Strasberg’s “right-hand man” back in the 1950s.
Fun Facts
The gift of gab in real life came in handy for Nikki’s professional career, having hosted predominantly live unscripted, improvised shows for hours at a time, and often solo. Nikki is as much a fan of wearing jewelry as she is of selling it, loves watching TV as much as she enjoys working ON it, and is as passionate about writing as she is reading. Nikki is always game for karaoke, loves to sing, dance, do impressions, play tennis, cook (especially the eating part), and spend quality time with family and friends. She's often been referred to as a Human Jukebox, and her greatest joy in life is being "Ava's Aunt Nikki."
